Brief:
Create a brand identity and campaign materials for Coop Fortnight along with a range of supporting deliverables.

Co-operatives UK approached us to the tender for the brand and campaign materials for Coop Fortnight in 2017.

Co-op Fortnight is a yearly event in which co-ops around the UK come together to celebrate their achievements and plans for the year ahead. The purpose of the initiative to promote co-ops and the work that they do to support existing co-ops and increase awareness of the co-op model. After successfully pitching we kicked off the project by delivering a workshop with the marketing team and key stakeholders to help create the brand identity and messaging.

This work evolved into us creating the Co-op Fortnight identity along with other related deliverables such as the proud to be a co-op poster. We designed a range of printed and digital deliverables for the camping and events including printed collateral, web banners, social media graphics, presentations, flyers and adverts. The campaigns attracted a lot of attention with assets from the campaign assets appearing on mainstream news channels and we reprinted assets such as the poster multiple times over from the original allocations.

This project has led us to working with multiple projects with Co-ops UK ever since, this includes working with them on a range of projects including events, reports, websites, awards, and campaigns.

Coop Economy

We were briefed to create an identity and look and feel for the economy report that could be updated each year by the internal team for future years. The report was intended to give members an update on the economy of co-ops and includes positive stats such as “80% of coops survive their first 5 years compared to 44% of private businesses”. To extend the look and feel and created a bespoke set of illustrations to use on the economy report. We created a bold simple identity that stood out amongst the illustration style that we created.

The report was designed to be printed and also made available online. We also created supporting assets such as social media graphics to be used to support promoting the report.

Practitioners Forum

Each year Co-operatives Uk deliver a practitioners forum event designed to help support co-op workers in learning new ideas skills and ways of working that cover the specialist areas of communications, finance, governance, HR and membership. We created an event identity with a strong look and feel that we applied to all elements of the event from name badges and event signage, to stage graphics, adverts and digital marketing.
